MEDIA ALERT: Department of Defense Updates Gigamon GigaVUE® UC APL Certification

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Gigamon Inc. (NYSE: GIMO), the industry leader in traffic visibility solutions, today announced the Gigamon GigaVUE® family of products are now listed on the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Capabilities Approved Products List (UC APL) under the Information Assurance Tools category.

Under the auspices of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), the UC APL is the only listing of equipment by DoD to be fielded in DoD networks. Certified products undergo a rigorous testing conducted by the DoD that assures acceptable levels of information assurance and interoperability capabilities.

First approved by DISA as certified for the UC APL in March 2015, Gigamon’s GigaVUE family of products provide Federal government customers a security-delivery and traffic-visibility platform, addressing blind spots in the network and optimizing the performance of security and monitoring tools for data in motion.

This UC APL listing as an Information Assurance Tool adds to Gigamon’s two other federal security certifications, including its National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria (CC) for GigaVUE® product family and Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 140-2 accreditation. Gigamon was also recently given a top 20 ranking in Cybersecurity Venture’s Q2 2016 edition of the Cybersecurity 500, a global compilation of leading companies who provide cybersecurity solutions and services.
