San Francisco, CA(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–Police reports reveal the tour bus driver who crashed a bus on Highway 101 in Southern California, on Tuesday, has a record of dangerous driving. As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, 69 year-old tour bus driver, John Egnew, died of traumatic brain and neck injuries when he rolled the bus on a U.S. 101 overpass in Soledad. Las Vegas police reports reveal Egnew struck a woman in a crosswalk three years ago while driving a tour bus. The 71 year-old pedestrian was catastrophically injured when Egnew struck her in 2005 suffering a traumatic brain injury and fractured pelvis.

The Monterey County Coroner’s office identified the bus driver, on Wednesday, as one of the five people who died in the fatal motor vehicle tour crash in Salinas Valley. Weeks Enterprises, the owner of the tour bus Egnew crashed on Tuesday also owned the bus he was operating in the 2005 pedestrian accident in Las Vegas. The French-Canadian passengers in this weeks fatal motor coach collision on a U.S. 101 overpass were touring California had originated in Quebec, Canada. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) www.nhtsa.gov plans to implement a full review of motor coach safety. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) continues to investigate the cause of the crash that injured dozens of the passengers causing mass casualty transportion by emergency medical personnel to 10 different California hospitals.
