Hat trick of awards for Standard Life Investments

Leading fund manager, Standard Life Investments has picked up its third award of the year1 as the UK Smaller Companies Fund scooped the ‘Best Performing Smaller Companies Fund Award’ at the PLC Awards 2007. The fund qualified for the award based on its performance during the year to 31st December 2006 in which it returned over 43% to investors versus a sector average return of 24%2.
The awards dinner, which was attended by 1,500 guests including quoted companies, investment banks, fund managers, investment analysts and corporate advisors, took place last night (Thursday 8th March) at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The UK Smaller Companies Fund also contributed to Standard Life Investments recent win at the Lipper Awards 2007 of the ‘Best Overall Group Award in the ‘UK Equity Large’ category judged on the consistently strong risk-adjusted performance of its funds relative to their peers over the three year period up to 31 st December 2006.
Standard Life Investments also won the Best Overall Group Award in the ‘Equity Large’ Lipper Award 2007 category.
