Standard Life Investments set to undertake £25m major refurbishment of Savannah House

Standard Life Investments has secured planning consent from Westminster City Council for a 58,500 sq. ft. comprehensive internal and external refurbishment of Savannah House, 11 Charles II Street, London SW1 on behalf of the Standard Life Heritage with profits fund. The £25 million scheme will be the only Grade A office accommodation delivered to the St. James’s market in 2008.
Works on site are expected to commence in July 2007 with completion in October 2008. Designed by Sidell Gibson, the scheme will transform the existing 50,550 sq. ft. building and create an additional 8,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office accommodation. The seven storey office will have an enlarged reception area and new lifts, air conditioning and façade. Floor plates will range from 4,800 sq. ft. to 8,100 sq. ft. and the design incorporates a new top floor with roof terrace and stunning views over St. James’s Park.
