Sallie Mae to Host 5K Run in Indianapolis on Sunday, July 23 to Support College Scholarships

INDIANAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sallie Mae, the nation’s saving, planning, and paying for collegecompany, will host the “Sallie Mae 5K” run on Sunday, July 23, at 8:30a.m. at Fort Harrison State Park. The race will support scholarships fordeserving high school students as part of the company’s 2017 Bridgingthe Dream Scholarship program.

The “Sallie Mae 5K” is open to the public, and participants can registertoday. Chip timing will be provided to all participants, and the topthree finishers for each age group will receive awards. Race packetswill be distributed at the check-in table the day of the race beginningat 7:30 a.m.

Sallie Mae’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship program asks high schoolcounselors from across the country to nominate students who exemplifyexcellence both inside and outside the classroom, have overcomeobstacles, and have a desire and dedication to make college happen.Counselors can nominate students beginning Aug. 10.
