In a season that saw Kingsbarns Golf Links host two European Tour events and its first Major, the Fife course has confirmed it welcomed more guests to Scotland’s east coast in 2017 than ever before.

(TRAVPR.COM) FIFEDecember 8th, 2017 – In a season that saw Kingsbarns Golf Links host two European Tour events and its first Major, the Fife course has confirmed it welcomed more guests to Scotland’s east coast in 2017 than ever before. The results round off a memorable year for the celebrated links which also won the Best Customer Service accolade at this year’s Scottish Golf Tourism awards.

The annual results show a healthy upward curve in rounds played at Kingsbarns in 2017, and follow on from an equally impressive increase recorded last year. The year-on-year figures indicate a continual positive trend at Kingsbarns which its chief executive believes is underpinned by a commitment to consistent and continual improvement.

“The 2017 season has been outstanding for a number of reasons, not least hosting the Ricoh Women’s British Open,” noted Alan Hogg. “Welcoming the world’s best players to Scotland was a privilege that all the team at Kingsbarns enjoyed. It is, however, an approach we adopt day in, day out with our guests. The standard of service doesn’t alter. The fact we recorded more rounds this year than any other is testament to this consistent approach.”

The Ricoh Women’s British Open was held at Kingsbarns in August with the 2017 line-up boasting players from 27 different nations, including all 25 of the world’s top golfers in the Rolex Rankings. The course received praise throughout the week, most notably from Michelle Wie, who opened the tournament with a new woman’s course record of 64.

“The fact it is a course record is a huge honour for me, especially at a place like Kingsbarns, which is definitely one of the most scenic courses I’ve ever played,” she said following her historic round. “You get lost in the views out there and it almost feels like playing back home in Hawaii.”

While the players enjoyed views from the elevated tees at Kingsbarns, including new teeing areas at the 3rd and 16th holes, the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) recorded a remarkable set of performance figures during the tournament, culminating in some of the most unswerving championship statistics ever collated.

“The green speeds at Kingsbarns were some of the most consistent we have had during tournament testing,” said Richard Windows, STRI agronomy services manager. “It was a great example of the implementation of good agronomic practices executed by a team of expert greenkeepers.”

The STRI confirmed the women’s major was contested over an exceptional course. Windows continued: “Achieving the targets was particularly pleasing because of the challenging weather conditions experienced throughout the championship with heavy rain falling on most afternoons and evenings. The results were outstanding.”

The regular greenkeeping team at Kingsbarns, led by Innes Knight and augmented during the tournament by over 20 volunteer greenkeeping professionals from Scottish, English and international golf courses, worked tirelessly during the tournament to ensure the course was presented to a world-class standard. It is a policy the team adopts throughout the year regardless of whether the tee-sheet is packed with the best players in the world or not.

“Our policy is to present Kingsbarns to the highest possible standard throughout the year,” explained Knight. “It could be a mid-week match for local golfers, a four-ball of international tourists or the closing Sunday of a Major. It does not matter. All members of staff at Kingsbarns are committed to delivering a truly unique golf experience for all our guests.”

Art Dunkley, director of Kingsbarns Golf Links, agreed. “We continually seek to improve how we present Kingsbarns and welcome our visiting golfers from the UK and from around the world. Hosting the Ricoh Women’s British Open showcased our ability to meet the high standards expected of a Major venue.”

Kingsbarns is looking forward to an exciting 2018 with another busy tee sheet based on early golf bookings, the Open Championship taking place at nearby Carnoustie Golf Links and the 18th staging of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. In addition and as a follow on to this year’s Women’s British Open, an exciting new ladies-only golf day designed for the enjoyment of amateur golfers is scheduled for Saturday 14 April 2018.

When traveling abroad to a new destination, people often ask about the safety aspect of it. When traveling on a Vietnam customized tour, you would never want to get hurt, or injured and always want to minimize the risks.

(TRAVPR.COM) VIETNAMDecember 8th, 2017 – People who have traveled to Vietnam love the country for many good reasons: vibrant yet traditional cities, fascinating history and culture, breathtaking landscapes and friendly people, and exquisite dishes… Vietnam seems to have something for everyone. When traveling abroad to a new destination, people often ask about the safety aspect of it. When traveling on a Vietnam customized tour, you would never want to get hurt, or injured and always want to minimize the risks. In general, Vietnam is one of the non-high-risk places for most tourist to visit. However, things are not always perfect.

Vietnam, like the rest of the world, also has its own problems with scams and annoyances that target at tourists. There are stories of travelers being ripped-off, having something stolen or being scammed during their trips in Vietnam. But it is not worth missing out the amazing experience of Vietnam tour packages because of just a few dishonest people. We share here some suggestion of keeping safe and minimizing the risks when travel in Vietnam.

Check the travel alerts and warnings

Before traveling to any country, not only Vietnam, it is recommended to check the travel risks, alerts or warnings from your home country’s embassy. They are likely to have the most correct assessments of risks that come from a variety of sources. Currently, there are no warfare, potential political conflicts, threat of terrorism or civil unrest that can cause significant risks for traveler in Vietnam. So it is safe to travel in Vietnam for any traveler, just need to be mindful about the minor scams and annoyances.

Check the health risks

Before traveling to Vietnam, it would be a good idea to visit your doctor for advice of the appropriate vaccines and get some medicines for the common scenarios such as getting bite from insects or diarrhea from eating strange foods. It is also recommended to bring your prescriptions during the Vietnam customized tour in case Vietnam lacks the medication that you need.

Remember not to drink tap water when travel in Vietnam, just bottled water. That is the most common question about the health risk in Vietnam from tourists: Is it safe to drink tap water?

Prepare the back-up plan

Save the contact number of your embassy or bookmark their website on your phone in case of emergency. At any time when you have concerns about your safety on the holidays in Vietnam, consider your embassy as the great place to ask for support.

Make another itinerary (can be a basic one of which city you will visit and when you will be there) then inform your family or close friends at home about it. If anything happens, they could help to alert the local authorities on your behalf.

Before leaving for your Vietnam private tour, scan the important documents and email it to yourself. Print a copy of your passport or have a photo of it on your phone in case you need the passport’s details. An electronic back-up of travel insurance, flight tickets and reservations are also advised.

Advice while traveling

Traveling around means you will have to move your belongings from one place to another. Let’s travel light, just take what you need is a good advice to avoid your own risk of losing things. Always draw enough attention to yourself, keep valuables out of sight, do not flaunt wealth, dress and travel in modesty. Remember to separate important things in different bags and do not keep things in the back pockets. Stay away from the crowded areas can be a good tip for the risk of losing belongings.

Travelers on Vietnam custom tour can be overcharged while shopping or using taxi or other service. To be safe, always ask for recommendations from the tour guide of hotel staff before shopping or going somewhere. Using service from reputable companies as Nadova Tours is a good way to avoid being overcharged.

Using unreliable transportations in Vietnam can expose travelers to the risk of scams or worse, accidents. Spend a little bit more for the private transfer or reliable bus company will help to avoid this risk. Remember things are cheap for a reason normally. Cheap buses often ignore the speed limit to cover as many trips as possible or maximize their profits by carrying more people than the capacity.

Safe and unharmed traveling are priority for any traveler. As long as you know the things that are expecting you on your Vietnam classic tour, you will have a safe and wonderful trip. We hope this guide on safety concerns of Vietnam travel would encourage you to experience the unforgettable memories and have a worry-free moments in Vietnam.

Ole Smoky Distillery, Yee-Haw Brewing & Music City Roots Have…

Aerial Rendering of the New Nashville Home for Ole Smoky and Yee-Haw

Ole Smoky Distillery, the leading craft distiller of Moonshine and home of the world’s most visited distillery, announced today that they are expanding their East TN presence by joining forces with Yee Haw Brewing Company, one of Tennessee’s top craft breweries. In collaboration with Music City Roots, they will collectively open an entertainment complex in Nashville’s burgeoning area of SoBro. The venue, currently being called 6th & Peabody will feature a distillery, brewery, live music, bars, tasting rooms, beer & bottle shops and merchandise. Visitors will be able to enjoy cocktails by the glass, as well as purchase jars of moonshine and bottled beer for enjoyment at home. Doors are scheduled to open in the second half of 2018.

“We are all very excited about this new endeavor,” says Joe Baker, Owner of Yee-Haw Brewing Company and Founder of Ole Smoky Distillery. “By providing guests with the best of Tennessee music, beer and moonshine, in a comfortable setting, we are confident that our newest venue will do extremely well in Nashville.”

The announcement of the multidimensional property comes after years of planning the overall concept. Having a brewery and distillery under the same roof will give visitors a unique experience with something that appeals to every individual, which is what the companies always envisioned. On any given day, there will be at least six beers on tap, and ten moonshine flavors being poured.

Along with experiencing a unique drinking occasion, guests will also enjoy authentic, world–renowned musical performances. Music City Roots, will be curating the live music talent and entertainment for the venue. Music will be presented day and night with an intimate performance area in the tasting room, a full-production concert stage in the main hall, as well as a broadcast studio for WMOT Roots Radio 89.5 FM. In order to build anticipation for the new venue, Music City Roots will be hosting a “Roots on the Road” campaign where they will go to various venues in Nashville, performing and spreading the word about the new location.

“Music City Roots looks forward to continuing to export the diversity and quality of our musical culture to a national and international audience from the heart of Nashville. We are honored to expand our long-term relationship with the great folks at Yee Haw and Ole Smoky by opening what will be an iconic and authentic addition to Music City,” says executive producer Todd Mayo.

“The heart of this partnership is our shared goal to curate a world-class listening environment, and present the music with the utmost respect for the artists that create it. In addition to being a live venue, it will be fully equipped for HD video broadcast, state-of-the-art live audio recording and radio broadcast”, says executive producer John Walker.

Baker and team will be transforming a warehouse currently standing on a 12k square foot property located in SoBro, also known as the South Six District. Currently the area is surrounded by a number of apartment buildings and hotels in development, which means there will be a need for more entertainment facilities for these residents and guests to enjoy. SoBro is a short walk and easily accessible from the popular “Lower Broadway” strip, the Music City Convention Center, and Bridgestone Arena.

“It makes sense for Ole Smoky and Yee-Haw to team up and create a space where all of our fans can enjoy themselves outside of our East Tennessee home base,” says Robert Hall CEO of Ole Smoky. “Both brands have a strong presence in the state and by joining forces we can offer great entertainment and a wide variety of beverages to fit every taste.”

This facility will be Yee-Haw’s second location and Ole Smoky’s fourth location.

Details about the bottle shops and tasting room (including a full beer and moonshine list, hours, events, and more) will be available soon. For more information about Ole Smoky please visit For more information about Yee-Haw please visit For more information about Music City Roots please visit

About Ole Smoky Distillery LLC:

Ole Smoky is the leading distiller of premium moonshine in the U.S. and the first federally licensed distillery in the history of East Tennessee. The company’s roots can be traced to the early settlers of the Smoky Mountains. In 2009, the law in Tennessee changed and suddenly, it was legal to make, distill and sell the infamous bootlegger’s hooch. It was at that point that a group of families decided to bring their artistry of superior moonshine making to the world at large.

And the world welcomed it. Ole Smoky was named an Impact Hot Brand by M. Shanken Communications, a leading publisher in the U.S. wine & spirits industry. The Hot Brand Award is given to both established and upcoming brands that achieve double-digit growth in each of the past three years, with a minimum of 200,000 cases. Additionally, people from all over the world visit the famed Gatlinburg Distillery, The Holler™, to see and experience how Ole Smoky moonshine is made. Since it’s opening in July of 2010, Ole Smoky Distillers have opened two more locations with The Barn™ in 2013 and the Barrelhouse™ in 2015, which produces the company’s new whiskey line that just launched nationally in Fall 2017. 2018 will mark the opening of the company’s fourth distillery in Tennessee.

Ole Smoky now retails globally and offers more than twenty creative flavors crafted from authentic family recipes. And while Ole Smoky has long been enjoyed on the porch from the jar or the jug, Ole Smoky now finds itself mixed in handcrafted cocktails of the finest order in establishments across the U.S. including at some of the biggest music and sporting venues in the country.

InventHelp Inventor Develops Carbon Monoxide Detector for Vehicles

Carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless gas that causes drowsiness and tragically, death, when an individual is exposed to it for an extended period of time. Carbon monoxide can leak into the interior a vehicle through an exhaust system that is rusted, damaged or stopped-up, which can ultimately lead to tragedy.

A police officer from Highland, N.Y., has invented the patent-pending CARDIAN ANGEL, a portable carbon monoxide (CO) detector for motor vehicle interiors that also includes a multipurpose tool to assist individuals in emergency situations. “I invented this device to save lives,” said the inventor. “I am a police officer and have experienced and read about several scenarios where my invention would have been effective in saving lives.” CARDIAN ANGEL detects dangerous levels of carbon monoxide gas from the exhaust system and alerts the passengers, enabling them to react quick enough to avoid CO poisoning, dozing and possible death. This invention provides motorists with peace of mind that they will be alerted in the case of a carbon monoxide leak and makes driving more pleasurable for safety conscious individuals. “We’re offered protection of life-saving carbon-monoxide detectors in our homes and RVs,” the inventor added, “so why not in our vehicles, where most Americans spend a great deal of their time and are most at risk?”

It also can be used anytime emergency access is needed into a vehicle. For example, this invention would be beneficial following a car accident, if a baby was spotted in a hot vehicle, or if a car were to catch on fire and the motorist needed a way to escape. It is practical, easy to use and could help to save lives.
